With Illustrator it is different. As an example, today I receive a .AI Stock image from a client to convert to CMYK. It was a multi-colored vibrant abstract background with gradients that I knew by looking at it that the CMYK conversion would be obviously apparent.

Illustrator Changing CMYK Values. So I'm setting up artwork for t-shirt separations. I have to use absolute CMYK values to print the separartions accurately, i.e. 100% Black, 50% Yellow, 25% Cyan to match the halftones and color combinations I need to make out spot ink colors. The issue I'm having is converting an object to my CMYK tones. In the Swatches panel, Ctrl‑click (Windows) or Command‑click (Mac OS) the New Swatch button, or select New Swatch from the panel menu. In the dialog box that appears, select Spot Color for Color Type. Set additional swatch options and click OK. (See Swatch options .) To generate a CMYK PNG or JPG file with Krita, simply open your document and go to Image > Properties, click on the Image Color Space tab, and choose CMYK/Alpha from the Modes drop down. Go ahead and click OK to finalize. All you have to do now is simply go to File > Export and choose the format you’d like to generate your CMYK file in.

I solved it by adding color to the gray (c60,m50,y50,k80) The images were in RGB, so the color changed a little on export. Converted all to CMYK with photoshop, so no surprises there. This means that the file size of JPGs will be smaller, but the image quality may not be as good. To export, go to File > Export > Export As. Then select either PNG or JPG from the format menu. Take note of the resolution and compression controls. The options will vary depending on whether you are exporting as PNG or JPG. Before you report this print design crime to the CMYK police, make sure to flatten your file. Converting a layered file to CMYK might not produce the consistent results you want. Flattening the file ensures consistent changes to the entire image color profile as opposed to that of the individual layers. Avoid image effects and transparencies To get true black that looks deep and rich when printed, you should use C:75, M:68, Y:76, K:90. Take a look at the image below and you’ll notice that the color picker is all the way in the bottom left corner, which indicates that this is true black in CMYK. Although these images are taken from Photoshop, the same situation applies when you

Working in 16bit RGB will give you the most possible colors until you're ready to convert them down, this is where you do color matching. If you're using OSX, open "profiles" in "ColorSync Utility" to compare spectrums! Click to move it around in 3D. click and hold to compare.

But although CMYK values are showing in decimal values (51.76, 65.88, 81.18, 63.14) but the same point is showing CMYK values in rounding values (52,66,81,63). I like they would be same (ie, 52,66,81,63) for both Fill G1KE1aO.
