1. Weak battery. The leading cause of clicking noise and no start in Ford Mondeo is weak battery. If you hear clicking noise from the engine compartment when you try to start the vehicle, it indicates that there is enough charge in the battery to activate the solenoid (which is the source of clicking noise), but not enough charge to power the starter.
The fogs, reversing and tail lights all work ok. The dash info is telling me there is a stop lamp bulb fault too. The car is a 2007 Ghia model. Tailgate was swapped because a corrosion issue. Also, I've been offered the outer (rear quarter) panel rear lights off the Mk4.5 too.
Ford Mondeo Zetec 2008 - Mondeo left sidelight failure - garyrgn : Leaving the car for ten minutes did not work, but disconnecting the battery did. All lights are now working (I made sure I had the radio code before I disconnected the battery). Thanks for the advice.

Hi All, I am look for a bit help. I have 2013 Mondeo Titanium X with led rear brake light. My brake light are not coming on at all included the centre light. I have changed the fuse and the two switches under the pedal I have power at the switch and power at the BCM/Central fuse box. All other lights and the cruise control are working. Parking sensors not working: When I got the car, the parking sensor button would flash twice and not function, this turned out to not need electrical equipment replacing as with the above issues but simply water ingress into the sensors which was fixed by spraying WD-40 into the sensors to displace the trapped water. During this time, the car went through one restyling. In our publication you can find a designation of the Ford Mondeo Mk4 fuse boxes and relays, their locations, diagrams and photos – examples of execution. Note the fuse responsible for the cigarette lighter. This model has 3 main boxes with fuses and relays: engine compartment, in the You would have to trace the wiring, or see if the Haynes manual had a diagram. The switch may not go directly to the light, the BCM (electronic module in the interior fuse box) is usually involved. Other equipment (park sensors, trailer box) get the reverse status from the BCM over the CAN bus. Sometimes there is also a relay in the circuit.

Hi need help please. My number plate lights on my 2011 mk4.5 mondeo have stopped. I cant see anywhere in the fuse chart that mentions the lights and I have checked all 3 fuse boxes and all are ok. Ive tested for power with a multimeter and its dead in both lamps. Any advice please. Thanks Peter

Sounds like a couple of broken wires, all right. A cheap and cheerful multimeter from the likes of Maplin or Halford's should do the trick. Disconnect the brake light, _turn on the ignition_ to position 2 (i.e. gauges on, not starting the engine) and have someone push the pedal while you measure. They're a straight swap, even between Mk4.0 and Mk4.5 (which is the one you're looking at on eBay there). Mondeo Mk4 2008 (BA7) saloon 2.0 TDCi 130 PS (well, 152 PS with the Bluefin installed) Zetec Auto (TF-80/81SC) Speedo cluster type 1, firmware: 0246. Audio system: Alpine iLX-700 (aftermarket)

Posted November 6, 2014. AFAIK, all the diesel Mondeos should go through the 'dash light test sequence'; that is, in the first ignition switch on position, the dashboard lights all ought to be tested, and anything else is a fault. Then, in the next position the glow plug light should only come on if either:

Near Side side Lights and rear lights not working help please. I have recieved a Stop lamps fault on the dash board. On Investigation the rear light cluster side lights and rear lights as well as brake are not working. The Fog and Indicator Lights are working. I have switched the blubs from the off side and the fault is still there and all the

Hi New on here and asking for help please, Mondeo MK4 2014 TDCI Titanium X AUTO Only had the car a couple of months and cruise has always worked with no problems, Went to switch cruise on recently and nothing, no cruise light on dash, it seems dead Speed limiter is working ok

Check the illumination of other switches, they use the same illumination source, from the light switch. Also double check fuses F46, F67 & F68, they all supply the cluster (IC). See what else works, like wipers, lights etc. They are controlled from a separate module, if most of them work, then at least battery power is getting to some of the car. 0gx2QNI.
